I just got word that Roscoe was used to best the world record for a Yellowfin Grouper! Michael Hall, Jr. of Hampstead, NC was fishing aboard the the “Knot Kiddin” with owner Dave Mason when he they hooked up with the pending world record fish. Michael was using the seven ounce version of Roscoe when the 42 pound 10 ounce grouper bit. The fish was weighed in at Island Tackle in Carolina Beach and NC Marine Fishery biologist certified the fish as the new state record. Michael planned to submit it to the IGFA for the world record as it bested the current record by over 1/2 a pound. Congratulations to Michael and the crew, Michael Hall, Sr,. Zachery Mason, David Mason & Bill Collins. We always knew Roscoe was a winner!
